Under $250 you are choosing between two completely different gifts: a camera feeder, which brings the birds to a phone, or a proper pair of 8x42 binoculars, which takes the recipient to the birds. Camera feeders suit people who watch from indoors. Binoculars suit people who go outside. Buying the wrong one is the most expensive mistake on this site.
